I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth;

The Lords Prayer, also know as the Our Father is a very popular prayer. It was given to the Apostles from Jesus in response to them asking how to pray. This prayer is taken from Matthew 6:9-13. It is also seen again, in similar form, in the gospel of Luke (Luke 11:2-4). There are several translations of this prayer but all originally stemmed from Aramaic. The form below is prayed by Catholics as well as several Protestant religions. Other forms of this prayer can be found across the internet as well as translations into other languages.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
